SoundBoost is the music toolbox we always wanted: AI mastering you can talk to, stems, videos and more.
SoundBoost.ai
We're a small team of musicians, designers and engineers. We build the tools we wished we had back when we were putting out our own songs.
How it started
We had tried every online mastering tool out there, and the results never sounded like anyone had actually listened to the song. So in February 2024 we launched a beta called Diktatorial Suite: a mastering tool you could simply tell what you wanted. Type “more punch, softer cymbals” and get a new master back.
A month later we passed 1,000 masterings and finished #4 Product of the Day on Product Hunt. In 2025 we renamed ourselves SoundBoost, mostly because nobody could pronounce the old name. Fair enough.
What we make now
Mastering is still the main event. AI Mastering gives you six AI mastering engineers with six different tastes. Describe the sound in plain words, pick a reference track you love, or switch on Voice Mode and just say it out loud. A new revision comes back in seconds, so trying one more idea costs you almost nothing.
The newest one is the most fun. With the Music Video Generator you finally get to see what your song looks like. Write a cinematic direction, drop in a single picture, or give it nothing at all. It listens to the track, writes the story, storyboards every scene and, once you approve, cuts a full-length film to the beat, with your face in every shot if you want it there.
And since nothing has to be physically possible, your weirdest dreams and the ideas that could never exist are finally shootable. A teapot-headed trumpeter whose whole city keeps trying to join in. A night festival that is entirely on fire, and nobody has noticed. A bedroom where gravity slowly turns upside down as the music grows. No crew, no permits, no laws of physics. All three are real films, you can watch them here.
Around those two, the bench kept growing:
- Stem Splitter & Vocal Remover: pull vocals, drums, bass, guitar and piano out of any song. Loop a bar, slow it down, change the key, follow the chords and play along.
- Visual Creator: covers, artist photos and promo visuals that match your sound.
- Free tools: a LUFS Meter, a Loudness Penalty checker and a Metadata Editor that run right in your browser, plus free AI mastering, a free vocal remover and a voice cleaner for vocals recorded in rooms that were definitely not vocal booths.
Everything runs on the web, and our iOS and Android apps bring mastering and stems to your phone.
How we build it
We wrote our own mastering engine, line by line. Engine v4 learned on audio we generate ourselves, never on your uploads. Your song has exactly one job here, to get mastered. It is not training data, and it never will be.
Before we shipped it, we blind tested the new engine with working musicians: no labels, no logos, just ears. Most of them picked the new one. And the taste comes from you, too. Your yes and no votes on every master decide where the engine goes next.
What's next
Mastering that runs on your own computer, so your files never have to leave it. A version that lives inside your DAW and works while you play. Sharper answers for niche genres and single stems. No dates yet, but you'll read about each one on our updates page the day it ships, and the Wiki explains every button.
Say hi
We read everything: bug reports, feature wishes, the song you're proud of and the one you're not sure about yet. Write to support@soundboost.ai and someone from the team below will read it.
