Publish, share and Discover
Your profile at soundboost.ai/@you, publishing a film or a few scenes to it, the share link, and Discover: the feed, the weekly leaderboard, upvotes, comments, follows and notifications.
A finished film is private until you decide otherwise. Publishing puts it on your profile and in Discover with a link anyone can open, no account needed. Your storyboard, your references and your direction stay private; only the film, its title and its description are shown.
#Your profile
The first time you publish (or follow, upvote or comment), you are asked for a username: 3 to 30 characters, lowercase letters, numbers and underscores. It becomes your address, soundboost.ai/@username, and can be changed once every 30 days. A display name, a short bio, an avatar and links to X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Spotify are optional; edit them later with the pencil on your profile.
In the app, the Music Video Generator group of the sidebar holds Discover and your profile (Set up your profile until you have one). Projects shows a link to your profile once you have a finished film.
#Publishing a film
- Share linkOn the Your film step, press Share link beside the player, with the take you want on screen.
- Title and descriptionThe dialog Publish to your profile asks for a title (the project name to start with) and an optional description. Publish.
- Your video is liveIt is on your profile and in Discover. The link (
soundboost.ai/music-videos/…) is shown with Share, and from then on the button beside the player reads Copy link.
A project has one public version. Publishing another take later replaces it: the dialog warns that the old link stops working and its upvotes and comments go with it, and offers to keep the published one instead. The line under the player always says which take is on your profile.
#Scenes, too
Storyboard stills can be published on their own, a few per project: on your profile, open Unpublished, then Scenes, pick the frames from the project's folder and save. They appear on your profile under the Scenes filter and in Discover's scene feed. Unpublished also lists every finished film you have not published yet, with Publish on each card.
#Sharing the link
- Share opens a sheet with WhatsApp, X, Facebook, Telegram, Reddit, e-mail and, on a phone or a Mac, Messages; More opens your device's own sheet; Copy link copies the address.
- Instagram and TikTok take the file, not a link. On your own posts the sheet offers Download video for exactly that.
- Anyone can watch. People without an account can play the film, browse your profile and Discover; to upvote, comment or follow they sign in, and the action finishes when they come back.
#Discover
Discover is where published films meet an audience. At the top, this week's most upvoted films play one after another; under them sit the week's top three, the team's editorial picks and musicians to follow, then the feed itself: Latest, Trending and Following (films from the people you follow), for music videos or scenes. Click any card and it opens in a theatre over the page with its comments, then Up next; on a phone the theatre is a vertical swipe feed.
| What it does | |
|---|---|
| Upvote | The arrow under a film (or U in the theatre). Upvotes rank Discover and the leaderboard. |
| Comments | Under every film (C in the theatre). Reply in threads, mention someone with @, upvote a comment, report one that breaks the rules. Delete your own from its ⋯ menu. |
| Follow | On a profile, a post or a card. The films of people you follow land in Following. |
| Leaderboard | The most upvoted films of the week, the month and the year. The week starts over every Monday. |
| Notifications | The bell on your profile: comments, replies, mentions, new followers and upvote milestones on your films. |
#Changing or removing a post
On your profile, the ⋯ menu of each card has Edit details (title and description), Share, Download, Open project and Unpublish. Unpublishing takes the film off your profile and Discover and stops its link; upvotes and comments are removed. The film stays in your project, and you can publish it again as a new post.
Is my film public as soon as it is made?
No. Nothing is published until you press Publish. Unpublished films and projects are only visible to you, signed in.
Do people see my storyboard or my prompt?
No. A post shows the film, its title, its description and your profile. The storyboard, the references and the direction stay in your project.
I sent a share link before October. Does it still work?
Yes, old links still open the film. Publishing the take gives it a profile page, upvotes and comments as well.
