Scene tools: retake, edit, rewrite
Every scene of the storyboard can be retaken, edited in place, or rewritten, before or after the film. What each tool does, what it costs, and how takes are kept.
#Three tools, one rule
Under every scene card sit three buttons. They share a rule: nothing is thrown away. Each retake, edit or rewrite becomes a new take, the earlier ones stay in the scene's history, and you choose which take the film uses. The tools need an active Music Video plan (free previews are for looking), and each shows its price on the button before you press it.

#Retake image
Use it when the frame is the wrong frame: a light source that leaked in, a stranger in what should be an empty room, a composition you do not like. The story stays as written; only the image is rolled again, with your instruction added to the scene's own prompt. Talk about the picture (framing, light, colour, what is in the shot); camera movement and pacing belong to Retake video once the film exists. The card shows Creating a new image take… over the frame while it works, and the new take is selected when it lands.
#Edit image
Use it when the frame is right and one thing is wrong. The edit works on the selected image at full resolution, so framing, light and the rest of the scene survive. Type what to add, remove or change. If your character has drifted, type the numbers of scenes where they look right into Match the look from other scenes: those frames are shown under the field and used as the reference for this edit instead of the uploaded photos. Up to three scenes.
#Rewrite
Use it when the scene itself is wrong: the story goes somewhere you do not want, or you want a different beat at this point of the song. The rewrite reads your instruction, the treatment and the full sequence of the other scenes, and changes only this scene's role; timing, order and the world stay put, so the result still fits between its neighbours. A new image follows. Quote your developed direction if you enriched it; that text sits under the strip for exactly this.
#Editing the story yourself
The story text on every card is a text field. Change a word, press Save story, and the small indicator next to the title confirms the save. The card then says Story changed. Retake the image to bring it up to date. The film will not use a frame that no longer matches its story; Make the film repairs such frames first, or you retake them yourself.
#Takes and history
A scene with more than one take shows Take 2 ▾ next to its title. Open it and every take is there as a thumbnail; click one to make it the selected take. Selection is saved to the project and used by the film. On the Your film step the same menu lists video takes. Nothing is ever deleted, so trying a retake is never a risk.
#Several scenes at once
Several scenes can be refined at the same time, each showing its own progress on its own card. Whole-project work such as an unlock or the film runs on its own.
#After the film exists
All three tools stay available on the Your film step, plus Retake video. Change a scene, then Regenerate film with changes: scenes you did not touch reuse their clips at no charge, and only the new motion and the render are quoted. Your film has the details.
The scene shows "Reference review passed" or a list of problems
That is Auto QC reporting on the frame. Problems it found and could not fix in its one retake are listed so you can decide.
Retake image is greyed out
Either the story has unsaved changes (save or revert them), the scene is busy, or the account has no active plan. Hovering the button tells you which.
Is there an undo?
Better: the take history. Open Take N ▾ and pick the earlier take. For story text, edit it back and save.
A scene says the image could not be made because of a policy
The frame was declined by a content check. Retake it with a gentler instruction; the card points at the scenes it drew from.
